Text Messaging Terms
Effective date: September 1, 2026
1. About this messaging program
Ritmas provides field service management software to service businesses. On behalf of those businesses, Ritmas sends text messages to the businesses' own customers about the service visits those customers have booked. Ritmas does not send marketing or promotional text messages, and this program is not used for advertising.
If you received a text message from Ritmas, it was sent on behalf of the service business you booked an appointment with. That business, not Ritmas, holds your customer relationship and decides what it sends.
2. How consent is obtained
Consent is collected verbally, by the service business, at the moment you give them your mobile number. That happens when you book or request service by phone or in person. You are asked to say yes or no, and only an explicit yes is recorded.
Before enrolling you, the business asks for consent using this script:
We can send you text updates about your appointment, including confirmation, reminders, and a message when your technician is on the way. That is usually one to five messages per visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP at any time for help, or STOP to opt out. Our terms are at getritmas.com/terms and our privacy policy is at getritmas.com/privacy. Would you like to receive these text updates, yes or no?
The business records your consent, how it was obtained, and the date, before any message can be sent. You are never enrolled by default, and a number with no recorded consent cannot be messaged.
There is no way to join this program by texting us. Ritmas does not publish a text-to-join keyword and does not create consent from an inbound message. Texting START only restores messages for someone who previously consented and then opted out.
3. What we send
- Appointment confirmations and reminders for a visit you booked.
- Notice that a technician is on the way, with an estimated arrival.
- Schedule changes, such as a rescheduled visit time.
- Links to your own estimate, work order, or invoice for that job.
Some messages invite a reply, for example to confirm an appointment. Replying is optional and you are never charged by Ritmas for it.
4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your activity with the business you booked service with. Most customers receive a small number of messages for each scheduled visit, typically between one and five.
5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages you send and receive. Ritmas does not charge you for these messages.
6. Getting help
Reply HELP to any message for help. For questions about your appointment, the work, or your bill, contact the service business that scheduled your visit. Ritmas provides the software and cannot change, cancel, or reschedule your appointment on that business's behalf.
7. Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages from that number. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after it. Reply START to resume messages if you change your mind.
You can also ask the service business to remove your consent directly, and they can do that without you sending anything.
8. Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your device.
9. Your mobile number is not shared
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are disclosed only to the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf, and only to deliver messages the business asked us to send. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy, and the terms governing the Ritmas service are in our Terms of Service.
10. Contact
